Job Description :
Responsible for evaluation, implementation and management of processes to assess and improve quality of pharmacy services within the department and throughout the hospital to ensure compliance with accepted quality benchmarks.
Provide hardware and software support, maintenance and training to pharmacy for existing systems
o Meditech
o Omnicell
o Medi-dose
o McKesson Supply Manager
o Visual Superscript
Provide support and training to nursing in use of pharmacy / emar applications
Build and Maintain pharmacy drug database in Meditech, Omnicell and Medi-dose
Prepare and create Omnicell reports and provide timely reports for analysis of medication use: safety and security, clinical, financial and statistical data to appropriate hospital committees
Lead Order Set development team to create effective order sets for use by all licensed practitioners. Participate in training and implementation of order sets and create data to assess clinician compliance with order sets. Utilize ZYNX order set data as basis for such development
Create, test , maintain and keep current order strings for Meditech for use in pharmacy and POM (physician medication order entry)
Create, test, maintain and keep current all associated tables in Meditech and Omnicell to support order sets
Oversee implementation and ongoing management of barcode labeling of all medication in Omnicell and Meditech
Assure accuracy of drug database entry for clinical and fiscal purposes.

3-5 years experience with pharmacy informatics systems
Experience with Meditech Magic and automated pharmacy dispensing systems preferred
A working knowledge of CPOE and EMAR
