GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Inpatient Pharmacist is responsible for coordinating the medication use process to assure/assist in a timely, safe and cost effective drug deliver system. Responsibilities also include providing drug information to the medical and nursing staffs upon request. Must also directly supervise the technical staff in all areas of pharmacy pratice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D)
* Ability to effectively communicate with other practitioners as well as patients.
* Ability to be self directed, motivated, and capable of supervising support personnel.
* Ability to work independently.
* Strong customer service and team orientation.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to establish and maintain friendly and cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
* Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet multiple demands.
* Ability to construct alternative positive problem resolutions
* Flexibility in day-to-day actions duties.

Required Length and Type of Experience
* One year of previous experience in institutional pharmacy practice preferred.
* Knowledge of medication management in the hospital pharmacy practice setting.

Required Licensure, Certification, or Registry
* Active license to practice pharmacy in The State of Ohio.

Required Physical and Environmental Demands
* Dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions
* Ability to lift materials weighing up to 10 kilograms
* Ability to perform duties while waling, standing, stooping and lifting.
